You Cannot Control Your Leg

posted in Fun, humor |

Hi Guys. This is fascinating. Try it.

Right Foot and Brain

You gotta try this !!

How smart is Your Right Foot??

Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon…….

This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can’t.

It’s pre - programmed In your brain!

1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY……)and while sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make Clockwise Circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number “6″ from top to bottom in the air with your Right Hand. Your foot will change direction.

I told you so!!! And there’s nothing you can do about it!

You can do it by starting “6″ from the upper end of the loop(circle part) of “6″ and going in the clockwise direction to form the bottom part and then go upward and towards right (still clockwise) to complete “6″!

But you are right if you go in the anticlockwise direction to form “6″ as your foot will also start going in the opposite direction!!

This is really interesting. Well, I believe it had got to do with our left and right brain coordination.

It depends on where you start drawing the 6. If you start in the middle and go clockwise to draw the 6, you won’t change your leg’s motion.

I’m sorry to disagree. I was I able to do it… maybe beacuse I’m left handed…

    WHY does this happen?

  8. 8 On August 15th, 2007, j said:

it only works if you draw the number six starting at the top. try it from the intercircle of the six that way you draw in the same direction as your foot rotates.

I’ve played drums for 40 years.
I can lift both legs, turn in any direction and the same with my hands
    Piece of cake for me.

You can beat it if you write your 6 from the inside out - IOW the same direction your foot is going.

I was able to perform this task effortlessly! I guess 43 years of playing the drums helped with the independence needed.

Now try this one: take your right hand while in front of you and move it in a circular motion, next take your left hand and move in in the opposite direction (fingertips facing fingertips) Equilly as difficult hey?

I am not a male, but I still tried it. No matter how I tried I could not make it go the other way. Cool………

Dah, the simple way is to draw the 6 backwards from bottom to top. The other way is to think of the 6 and steady your rotating foot; when steady, draw the 6 really fast. A third way… I guess you are bored by now.

Did you know if you did it with your left foot and your left hand it does the same thing.

Even thinking about the number 6 made my foot pause and start to go c/clockwise, which is how we make the number 6

I tried this and accomplished it rather simply on the first try. I think with a certain level of coordination and concentration, the human body is capable of a lot more than we are aware.

I tried it with both legs and hands. It is one of those deep wired responses you LEARN when you are learning to crawl. As a learned response it is possible to unlearn it or train around it much the same way some martial arts train to not pull back or blink as a punch comes toward you [so you can see it and properly respond]. I had some success in getting my feet and hands to be doing their parts independently with just a few minutes work though it was still pretty rough.

Actually, if you draw the number 6 backwards, starting with the loop, you can do it

  26. 26 On August 15th, 2007, David said:

huh. I could do it. wonder what that means

  27. 27 On August 15th, 2007, Reynaud said:

Actually, I tried it 10 times and never had the food reverse, it did stumble (stop) on #7, but that’s about it.

Thats nuts my foot started drawing the 6 as I did it with my index finger. It only worked when I used my right hand though I could do with no problem using my left hand to draw the 6.

I can do it. Probably because I’m a musician. We have great coordination.

    I did it.
Do I have some special power?
Maybe it’s because I play drums. I’m sure there is a certain percentage of people who can do this. I did it on the first try and didn’t even think about it.
    Anyways, thanks.

It work’s as you say.Out of additional curiosity I drew the number 3 in the air and the tendency of my “leg” was to kick straight forward. It seem’s a little variety may be possible.

Congrats to those that can do it, you have better control of your body. For those cannot do it including me, it is alright that we can’t do it but I believe through practice, we can do better. But the most important thing of all, we share jokes or tricks with others and it is fun!
