Are Dream possible or impossible?
posted in Personal Development, Motivation, Inspiration |Wilbur And Orville Wright had an impossible dream – they dreamt that man could fly. In 1961, President Kennedy had an impossible dream for his nation, made the goal for landing a man on the Moon in speaking to a Joint Session of Congress on May 25, 1961, saying
“First, I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important for the long-range exploration of space; and none will be so difficult or expensive to accomplish.”
As I am sure you are aware, both dreams were deemed impossible at the time but both were achieved, despite the odds.
Why were they achieved?
They were achieved because of belief. The Wright brothers believed in themselves and shook off their critics and kept on trying to design a working flying machine until they succeeded. NASA worked with American industry to ensure that Kennedy’s dream was achieved.
Questions for you to ponder.
Do you have any dreams that you think are impossible?
Are they really impossible, or are they possible?
